Peru is a country on the Pacific Coast of South
America. Its geography varies from the dry
plains of the Pacific coast to the peaks of the
Andes Mountains and the bio-diversity of the tropical forests in the Amazon Basin. Follow us to the famous Lost City of the Incas - Machu Picchu - and nearby town of Cuzco, according to the Incas “The Center of the World”. Lake Titicaca is the world's highest navigable lake and with its floating reed islands of course another highlight not to be missed while in Peru. Arequipa's stunning white architecture and the Colca Canyon, deepest in the world, are further attractions in this country which will awaken your senses. Amazon cruises and jungle lodges can be found in Manu and Iquitos. And Lima, the capital, has a well preserved Old City that is worth a visit.

We embarked on this journey in Sep/Oct 2011. An amazing trip with the following itinerary: Explore Peru's highlights, starting with a private tour of Colonial and Modern Lima, followed by a visit to the Larco Herrera Museum which has the world's largest private collection of pre Columbian art. Fly to Cusco the next day. After a period to acclimatize take part in an afternoon city tour of Cusco and the surrounding ruins. The following day enjoy a full day tour of the Sacred Valley to the ancient ruins of Ollantaytambo and the famous Pisac market. The next day take the spectacular train ride to Machu Picchu for a private tour of the Ancient Citadel and discover the legendary mountaintop city of the Incas. Mystical, spiritual and cultural it has left an impression on visitors through the ages. Continue to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca to enjoy a boat ride that will take you to the famous floating islands constructed by the Uros Indians. After a spectacular drive over the mountains you will depart for a full day’s journey to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world. From the viewing point “Cruz del Condor” you can usually see the famous condors flying under a bright blue sky. Continue your journey to Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru with a beautiful Spanish architecture. On your last day you will fly to Lima to catch your international flight back home.
